Marriage confirmation celebration

 Mea Barath

Visual Storyteller

I was asked to document this special event and preserve the beautiful memories of a unique wedding. István and Gabi are a couple married in Hungary, years ago. New Zealand became their new home, so they wanted to strengthen their relationship and celebrate their marriage journey here in Christchurch with their Christian Community and friends.

“Mea took amazing photos at our wedding and she has a really keen eye on finding nice compositions and not being in the way. She is very considerate of her presence and is really good at being at the heart of happenings yet almost invisibly. We could notice that many of our guests who were photographed had no idea they were in front of the camera so the pictures depict the people as they were acting naturally.

I am really happy with the quality of the images themselves: the colours are vibrant but still realistic, there is a good balance between various visual effects to convey different impressions of photos taken even very close to each other in time.

A big bonus is that she speaks Hungarian so we could chat using our mother tongue ;o) Joking aside I would be very happy to have her taking photos at any future event.”
