5 reasons to book a photoshoot – and stay at home!

Documentary family photography can take place anywhere. I will accompany you on a trip, we can play sports, play on the playground, meet at the beach or at a birthday party. Or: we can just stay at home!

Why is storytelling family photography at home is extremely good?

I’ll give you 5 reasons to convince you that it’s worth taking photos in your everyday life.

  1. The easiest location to organise

To start with the most practical reason:

Your home is always available.

We don’t have to adapt to the weather either. We take photos when we want, when you want. It can fit to an afternoon nap, or writing homework, cooking lunch. And our plans will not be washed away by the rain.

In addition, we can capture those intimate moments that surround a falling asleep or waking up as well.

  1. Everyone feels most comfortable in their own living space

Where do we relax the most? Where is there no need to conform, and where can we really be ourselves? At home.

Your children will easily loosen up and make friends with me if they can invite me into their personal space, showing me their toys, their treasures, their own world. Before I take out the camera, I take time to “arrive”: we talk and get to know each other. It helps all of you to be calm and easygoing, when you are among your personal belongings, on your own ground.

And there is no dressing code at all!

  1. Home is the place for family stories

The home is the place for the everyday stories of family life, the objects around you carry your family tales.

The favourite, shabby little car from Dad’s childhood. The toy doll with the hat knitted by the grandmother. The mug with the frayed edge, which we don’t want to throw away, because it is an important memory. The teenage posters on the wall. The storybook, with the illustration of which the younger brother added to. The sleeping teddy bear. The crumpled sheets, with the smell of waking up in the morning. These are all you, too. If we take photos at your place, the pictures will also preserve the story of your home.

  1. The living space is the scene of family life

The physical space we live in is the most important memory. The colours of the room, the wallpaper, the furnitures, the lights, all details reminds us of our childhood. By preserving all this in pictures, you give yourself and your growing children the opportunity to relive this special period.

Almost all of us change our place of residence at least once, some of us more than once.

We are emotionally attached to the places where we experienced important things.

Family photography at home preserves these memories.

Finally, the most major:

  1. We teach something really important!

If you make your home the scene of family photography, you are sending a very important message to your children.

You give them a message about our imperfection is wonderful!

Because that’s who we are. And everything is fine just the way it is. So complete, livable and lovable. With the coffee stain on the kitchen counter. With the smudged handprint on the door jamb. With the old carpet inherited from the grandfather and the Lego scattered on it.

This is the life we love.

So, let’s book a family photojournalism at your home! I am ready!
